About PrepIt
Coffee shops need operating tools that understand the work.
PrepIt is being built for the daily systems behind a café: inventory, recipes, batch prep, checklists, and the team workflows that keep service moving.
Founder and product story
PrepIt started from a simple problem: café operations live in too many places.
Coffee shops often run on a patchwork of spreadsheets, printed recipes, group chats, notes apps, and memory. That can work for a while, but the cracks show up during busy shifts: a missing count, a prep item nobody owns, a recipe change that did not reach everyone, or a closing task that gets noticed the next morning.
PrepIt is being built to bring those operational details into one practical system. It is not trying to turn cafés into generic software companies. It is shaped around the real work of keeping a shop stocked, prepped, consistent, and ready for the team walking into the next shift.
The product is starting with the workflows that matter most in a café environment: inventory, batch prep, recipes, daily routines, and team visibility. The goal is a calm operating layer that helps managers stay ahead without burying the team in tools.
What PrepIt is built around
The product roadmap is centered on real shop operations, not abstract productivity.
Our approach
Practical, specific, and close to the shift.
Clarity
Managers should be able to see what needs attention without digging through a spreadsheet, a binder, and yesterday's messages.
Consistency
Recipes, prep expectations, checklists, and handoffs should not change depending on who happens to be working.
Practical workflows
PrepIt focuses on the shop-floor details that affect service: counts, pars, batches, routines, and team ownership.
Built for operations
The product is designed around cafés first, not retrofitted from a generic task manager or restaurant system.
